ONLINE STORES

Here is a list of stores that I scavenge, I mean find great deals at. Sales are mostly a guessing game, but if you are an avid shopper like me it will be NO problem to always be on the prowl. That’s why sites like www.retailmenot.com   are the best!

Today I will strictly focus on online stores (in store prices may differ). Here are some of my favorites:

  1. Nordstrom.com  – while the actual store  may be PRICEY ( designer) it can be inexpensive if you shop online because of the FREE SHIPPING NO MIN deal that they always have. Check out the clearance section, you’re bound to find something there.
  2. Urbanoutfitters.com – This is my favorite store because I am an artsy kitschy type but they are too EXPENSIVE for my taste (yeah I’m cheap) . However, check out their clearance section. Also be on the lookout for FREE SHIPPING NO MIN deals  which circulate ever so often (mostly holidays). It’s worth it because shipping is normally a whopping $10. Also, be on the lookout for an extra % off clearance. Back in winter, I found an extra 50% off clearance plus free shipping. I got cute real leather boots for $20!!  Keep them peepers open ,subscribe to their newsletter , do what you must! (Right now they have free shipping for urban on insiders)
  3. H&M.com – they recently started an online store ( what took them so long?). I have noticed MANY online sales that are fantastic. I got a pair of pants for $7 including free shipping. Right now (march 25th 2014 ) they have a 25% off any item coupon. Use it!
  4. Asos.com – again this is a store that can be pricey if you buy regular price, but check out the CLEARANCE section. they have sooooo much stuff in clearance plus the FREE SHIPPING NO MINIMUM is always a bonus.  I got a dress for $8 free shipping, and their free shipping speed was good ! (most take foreverrrrrrrrrrrr)
  5. Ae.com– american eagle is one of those stores that i RARELY shop at. I’m just not a big fan of their style. However, they do have the most online sales ever. Sometimes it’s barely worth it, other times they’ll offer 40% off everything & free shipping on everything. If you do shop here, make sure to keep your eye out for those kinds of sales. Also, don’t forget about aeo (factory outlet online) and aerie.com…they are also usually included in the sales
  6. JCP.com – while I think their in-store sales are better, you can also find great deals online. Jc Penney always has a discount code (check retailmenot for that) PLUS they offer in-store pick-up. Sometimes they’ll offer free shipping & even $10 off $25 which INCLUDES clearance items. Check them out.
  7. HSN.com – I was surprised at the good prices of items in their clearance section (as well as the vast selection) . I love hsn for one main reason : flexpay. If you really want/need something pricey and you don’t feel like putting up all that money at once, they offer a financing option (NO FEES) so you can pay in installments. PLUS they have a deal for new customers : $20 off $40 purchase or more. GREAT DEAL. We got a nutribullet for $80  free shipping (regular price $100) and did flex pay at only $20 a month for 4 months.
  8. ebay.com– This is the mother of all deal sites, however patience is a key. You must be willing to wait & research and bid like a pro ( a new post will be made concerning all things ebay, don’t worry!) . Check out their daily deals, which roate (no bidding neccessary) . Their prices on refurbished electronics is often times unbeatable. Samsung tvs, tablets, household items- all at the lowest price ! The only catch is that many items are refurbished/open box etc and you must pay attention to the warranties, etc if that is important to you.

Whew, these are just a few . I could go on and on and on and on and on and on….what was I talking about? Oh yeah…

That’s it for today.

Shopaholic

I am quite the shopper, I must admit. It’s exciting, thrilling, satisfying  to get new things. It’s even more satiisfying when you get them for a BARGAIN. That’s why today I am going to introduce you to a cool app & an online shopper’s must have.

WRAPP APP. yes it rhymes. While this app doesn’t offer a whole lot of variety in its store discounts ( the discounts change per couple of days) it is good for one store in particular – H&M . If you shop at h&m you MUST get this app. It’s supposed to be an app where you can send gift cards to your facebook friends but quite often it offers  a free $6-$10  at h&m.  You can use that h&m free “gift card” on ANYTHING (even sale items). I can’t tell you how many times I’ve gone into h&m  and gotten an item for $1 while using this app.

the catch:

-for H&M you can only use discount in stores (i believe)

– to join wrapp you must sign in through facebook

-often times in order to get discount you must send offer to friends or recieve it.

OTHER STORES THAT PARTICIPATE (on occasion): sephora, american eagle, and many new online stores

Look out for extra 40% clearance, free shipping no minium, etc.

Stores to watch for GREAT ONLINE SALES:

Overall, RETAILMENOT.COM is a must have for any online shopper.

Credit : Your new friend with benefits

Yep, your credit card (and more specifically your credit)  can be a friend instead of an enemy. If you have good credit and don’t have a rewards credit card you should slap yourself in the face now (just do it). Not only are there special  introductory offers for certain credit cards, all rewards cards offer free cash (or points)  back on purchases that’d you’d be making anyways. Here’s the scoop:

I’ll be addressing two different cashback credit cards that I know and use. THESE ARE MY PERSONAL FAVE. You don’t have to have excellent credit, but I believe good credit is neccessary (i was approved at 690 credit score)!

1) Chase Freedom –click here to apply    this card has an introductory special offer of $100 cash back after you spend $500 within the first 3 months of opening credit card. This is easy peasy. Just put a couple bills on there and wham! free $100. In addition to this great offer the card features:

  • 5% cash back on special purchases in categories that change quarterly
  • no annual fee
  • 1% back on EVERY purchase all the time

2) Discover It! Cardclick here to apply This card is yet another money maker. It also features a promo. New users can enjoy $150 back on purchases of at least $750 that must be made within the first 3 months of opening. In addition to that offer the card includes:

  • 5% cash back on purchases in rotating categories
  • no annual fee
  • 1% cash back on ALL purchases.

So, as you can see these cards are very similar. Why not get both? Please check out the  finer details of each of the cards on their respective websites. The plus of the chase card is that its VISA and more widely accepted than Discover. So why not be earning money?
